The Itinerary

The WorldWalk team planned a 25.000 miles long walking tour around the world. The itinerary is not fixed, but if everything goes as planned, they will visit five continents (Europe, Africa, the Americas, Australia and Asia), some major cities (Szeged, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Paris, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Dakar, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Mexico City, Belize, Panama City, Buena Ventura, Guayaquil, Lima, Sidney, Brisbane, Townsville, Weipa, Cape Arnhem, Darwin, Bandar Lampung, Banda Aceh, Colombo, Yapanaya, Madras, Vijayawada, Mormugao, Mumbai) and many small villages.

The original plan included a support vehicle with medical support. But due to the lack of resources and proper management, all these dreams were discarded and the two brothers started their walk alone, by themselves. Originally they planned to get back home in four and a half to five years, but due to constant problems in raising the budget of the mission, the time span was increased to six years.

Ferenc and István are documenting the places they walk through. Sometimes with photos, sometimes in their diary, sometimes adding the name of a restaurant that treated them. You can follow their path online visiting their maps at Google Maps.
