We spotted two bikers on October the 23rd, some six miles before La Venta. They were having a break at a cheap diner. We had seen them before passing by, but the speed difference was too much. It was obvious that they weren't locals, so we decided to check on them to see who they were.
When I asked where they were from, one of them answered that from former Yugoslavia, to be more exact, from Slovenia. My birthday is on the 23rd of October, I celebrated it with a Slovenian guy (Istok Markoja). It was nice, we quickly changed to Serbo-Croatian language, but then switched back to English, since his friend was from the USA. Istok was heading for South America, he had departed from New York in March. His friend, JahrunChilamBalam wanted to explore some organic plantations in Ecuador. It was a nice evening, with some beers. Thanks for that and have a nice trip!
